AGUMAN IS AGAIN MARSHAL FOR FILCOM

In a meeting of the Filipino Community on September 14 at the Philippine Consulate in Ghusais, Aguman as represented by its Secretary Romy Quiambao, accepted the position of Marshall under the Environment and Safety Committee for the Bayanihan Event and other community events for fiscal year 2009-2010 under the overall chairmanship of Robert Ramos.

Romy Quiambao and July Marimla reported on their having attended meetings of the community on behalf of Aguman wherein the Covenant of the community was ratified and where Aguman agreed to serve again as Marshall.

Eddie Zapatero volunteered to sell for Aguman at least half of the remaining stocks of T-Shirts.

For membership fee, it was agreed to assess only 50% or Dh10 for the rest of the year.

Everybody in the meeting agreed to a Membership recruitment drive.

For sports, an Open Beach Volleyball is under consideration for Winter, under Sports Director Johnny Valencia who will draw up the plans for this event.

Aguman also accepted the invitation of Vice Chairman Angelo G. Timbol to consider JettyVille in Capas, Tarlac as the Philippine Headquarters of Aguman Kapampanga, Dubai and Northern Emirates.

MEETING WITH LABOR SECRETARY MARIANITO ROQUE AND DBP CHAIRMAN PATRICIA STO. TOMAS

Aguman, thru it's Chairman Jes Galang, attended the September 16 meeeting at the POLO Office with Labor Secretary M. Roque and DBP Chairman P. Sto. Tomas. Main subject of the meeting was a briefing on the experience of Fujairah community leader Tess Bautista. The Philippine Department of Labor and the Development Bank of the Philippines gave assistance in solving the problem of Tess Bautista which arose from her helping Filipino housemaids.
