PROJECT:
“Donate Computers to Rural Schools of the Province”
The Aguman Kapampangan, Dubai & Northern
Emirates handed over the first batch of computer sets to the less
privileged elementary schools children of Pampanga, the ceremony was
held on 30th of October 2004 at Sapalibutad Elementary School, Angeles
City. The project “Donate Computers to Rural Schools of the Province”
was originally launched during the induction ceremony of the 2004
Officers of Aguman Kapampangan. This is their humble way of supporting
the Philippine Government campaign in providing assistance to the less
privileged hometown schools.

Principal II led the ceremony. He was chosen by the officers of Aguman
Kapampangan as the Provincial Coordinator of Aguman Kapampangan for
the project. The ceremony was attended by family members of the Aguman
Kapampangan, The Chairman, Mr. July Marimla was represented by Mrs.
Emerita Marimla and Mr. Ben Sanchez , while the Vice Chairman, Mr.
Angelo Timbol was represented by Mrs. Rosing Galang Timbol, Mrs. Myrna
Timbol and Mr. Michael Timbol.
Aguman Kapampangan recognized the
generosity given by “Frico International, Dubai” for their full
support in helping the organization shipped the initial batch of
computer sets free of charge. The beneficiaries who received their
computer with printer sets were represented by their respective school
principal and faculty members who expressed their gratitude to Aguman
Kapampangan in giving school children the hope of facing the fast
advance technology of today’s modern world. The ten school recipients
are:

• Manibaug Paralaya Elementary School, Porac

• Batasan Elementary School, Macabebe
• San Francisco - I Elementary School, Minalin

Annual General Membership Meeting
Aguman Kapampangan, Under the Auspices of the
Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines, were presented
50 units of computers during their Annual General Membership Meeting
and year end picnic at Dubai Creek Park by Mr Paul Gledhill, director
of Xpert Learning Dubai, a company who provides integrated e-learning
solutions.
This exceptional gift
was acknowledged by the association’s chairman Mr. July Marimla with
the Vice Chairman Angelo Timbol, Donate Computer Project Director Mr.
Leandro “Boyette” Hernandez and Mr. Fred Miranda, association’s
founding member in the presence of Ms Jijie Zablan, CEO of Zablan
Information Systems, Mrs Ching Ardivilla, Assistant Labour Attache,
Dubai and visiting International Labour Affairs Service Officer, in
Manila’s Department of Labour and Employment Ms Merliza Makinano.
The chairman and the
executive committee expressed their gratitude to Ms Zablan for her
hard work to facilitate this noble cause by Mr. Gledhill and ensure
that hundreds of less fortunate children in Pampanga, Province will
benefit with the donated computers.
